Berlin DUI Checkpoint: When And Where

BERLIN, CT — The Berlin Police Department has announced DUI checkpoint dates during evening hours. All checkpoints will be set up on the Berlin Turnpike south of Deming Road.

The checkpoints will be July 13, July 31, Aug. 21, and Sept. 4, according to a statement from the department.

The checkpoints are funded by the Connecticut Department of Transportation's Highway Safety Division in order to support increased DUI detection and enforcement efforts. The grant provides 100 percent reimbursement of the overtime costs related to these efforts.

Roving DUI patrols will also be conducted throughout this grant period, which is July to September. These patrols will specifically target impaired drivers.
