Berlin Freshman Football Drops to 1-2

Berlin freshman football suffered a tough loss to Wethersfield 22-16 on Thursday.

After taking a 16-0 lead into halftime, penalties and turnovers made for a scoreless second half for the Redcoats who drove the length of the field twice in last minutes but couldn't finish.

Both Berlin Touchdowns were scored by Ryan Cop; one on a rushing play and the second on a connection from quarteback Garrett Guite. Guite also completed the conversions.

Berlin is now 1-2 on the season.
