Berlin Girl's Basketball Faces Huge Task Tonight
Redcoats have won 10 straight games and are 12-1 but play at 11-1 E.O. Smith Tuesday in Storrs.

The Berlin Redcoats girl's basketball team lost its third game of the season when they were blown out by Northwest Catholic, 72-42.Â
Since then, however, Berlin has won 10 straight games and only one game has been won by less than 10 points and that was by a nine-point margin.

Tuesday night, the Redcoats travel to Storrs, to play 11-1 E.O. Smith. The Panthers' lone loss also came to Northwest. Northwest, however, has hit some tough times and is now 8-4.
Berlin's balance on offense makes it tough for teams to match up. It's defensive intensity is its calling card.

Leading the scoring for Berlin is senior Ashley Malloy at 12.5 points a game. Kailene Rampone adds 10 points a game and Courtney Trzasko 9.5 points a game. Paige Young gives Berlin a solid inside presence and chips in with 9 points, 10 rebounds a game.
