Berlin Girl's Golf Will Be Hard To Beat
Julia Kemmling may be the top female high school golfer in the state.

The Berlin Girls Golf Team has won the last two CIAC state championships and don't look for it to fall very far if at all with its returning cast this season at Timberlin Golf Course.
"I think we should be fine this year," Berlin coach Jim Barnes said. "Julia Kemmling will be great and watch out for Ashley D'Attilio. Her swing looks fantastic and her ball striking is much improved. She could have a really big year.Â
"We should be solid at 3 and 4 with our two Senior Co-Captains Emily Deutsch and Caroline D'Attilio. I'm counting on both of these girls improving over last year.Â
"What I'm most concerned about is finding a solid number 5. Lots of contenders but I need someone to step up as the season progresses. Should be fun. We have seven freshmen out for the team so the answer may be there."
Senior Kristy Wezdenko and sophomores Abbie Underwood, Theo Tomasitis and Emma Atkinson all have a chance to fill the fifth spot.  Berlin also has seven freshmen but it is too early to tell exactly what they can do. A few show a lot of promise but they may be a year away.
