
Edward Tomasaitis, 97, of Berlin, died on Monday, July 30, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen (Januszewski) Tomasaitis for over 71 years before her passing in 2016.
Born in New Britain, son of the late Edward and Ann Tomasaitis, he was a longtime Berlin resident, a member of the Berlin Kiwanis Club and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. Ed proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews who survive him: Kathleen Norton of Niantic, Claudia Crandall of Madison and David Tomasaitis of Berlin as well as many other family members, friends and neighbors. In addition to his parents and wife, Ed was predeceased by his brother, Claude Tomasaitis and his sister, Ann Waluski.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, August 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Burritt Hill, 332 Burritt St., New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery with Military Honors.
