Berlin Obituary: Mary Udey Mansfield, 92

Mary Udey Mansfield, passed away on March 21, 2018. She was born in New Britain on February 26, 1926, and was predeceased by her husbands: William Udey and William Mansfield.

Mary loved gardening, working in her yard, feeding all the outside animals and having tea and talking with her neighbors and friends. She was a parishioner of St. Paul Church in Kensington.

Mary is survived by 2 children: Sheila Lavery and her husband Robert of Windsor Locks and William Udey and his wife Judy of Florida one brother Mickey Kapa of East Hartford, 5 grandchildren Christopher, Timothy and Andrew Lavery, and Kimberly and Jennifer Udey. Besides her husbands she was predeceased by a brother Pete Kapa, and the love of her life her 2 cats (Patty and Billy).

Many thanks to all her friends at FOBAC, and all her neighbors for helping her and being there for her when she needed help or just to talk.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday April 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St Paul Church, 485 Alling Street, Kensington. Calling hours will be on Thursday April 5, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. 9:30 at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Kensington. Burial in West Lane Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
