Berlin Parks and Recreation Has Free Tickets To Eastern League All-Star Game Experience

Summer is here, take me out to a ball game

The Berlin Parks and Recreation Department for their recreational work with children and families has been awarded over 100 free tickets for Berlin families as part of the First Years First initiative from the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain to the 2013 Eastern League All-Star Home Run Derby at New Britain Stadium on Tuesday, July 9.  

The autograph Session starts at 4:35 p.m. with the Home Run Derby starting at 6:05 p.m. The host of the evening events is the New Britain Rock Cats.  

Participating children will get to share the field with the future stars of Major League Baseball, shag fly balls under adult supervision, obtain autographs and take in an entire evening of All-Star sights and sounds. It will be an unforgettable family experience.

Children 15 and under will be allowed on the field to shag fly balls during the Home Run Derby. They must bring their own glove and must refrain from wearing open toe shoes. No gloves or sneakers will be provided the night of the event. 

For these free tickets please come to the Berlin Parks and Recreation Department to pick up you tickets and Group 1 letter. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis for Berlin families.
