Berlin Police ID Bike Theft Suspect, Recover Bike

Police issued a call to share an image of the suspect on social media.

BERLIN, CT — Police successfully identified a suspect in a bike theft case and recovered the bike.

According to police: the suspect was dropped off at the Berlin Train Station at 8 a.m. June 25 and immediately made his way to the platform.

He then made his way down the platform to the south-most staircase where someone had secured their bicycle to the railing.

Surveillance footage captured this person using large bolt cutters to break the lock on the bicycle. He is then seen riding the bicycle south on the sidewalk leaving the area quickly.
