Berlin Police Make Arrest In Fatal Crash
A man accused of fleeing the scene of a fatal crash in October was arrested over the weekend.
BERLIN, CT — Police have made an arrest Saturday in connection with a fatal crash Oct. 16 on New Britain Road. Emanuel Story, 31, of 266 Brooke Meadow Road, Berlin, was arrested and charged with evading responsibility, according to police.
He is free on $100,000 bond and will appear in Superior Court in New Britain Jan. 17.
The victim in the crash was Janine Wiktor, 58, last known address of 2030 Stanley St., New Britain. She died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Police said in a statement: "After disseminating the description and photo of a suspect vehicle in October, our investigators received a number of tips and leads that were pursued over the past three months. We would like to thank all the media outlets that shared our requests for information and the members of the community who contacted us about this case."
