Berlin Special Election Date Set

BERLIN, CT - State Sen. Terry Gerratana (D) will step down from her 6th State Senate District seat to accept a position in Gov. Ned Lamont's administration. A special election for the seat has been set for Feb. 26.

Gerratana has served in the seat, which consists of New Britain, Berlin, and parts of Farmington, since 2011.

She will accept a position in the Lamont administration as a health policy advisor, the Courantreported. Gerratana has endorsed Rep. Rick Lopes, D-New Britain, who has said he will run for the senate position.
