Original Story:

An elderly woman drove her car into the building on Main Street that houses local landmark Star Barber Shop.

Star's former owner Enzo Degasperis was on the scene and marveled at the damage.

"It's incredible because the whole front entrance has been taken out," he said. "When I got called I wasn't expecting it to be this bad. It will take us a long time to fix this and get back open again but we'll be ok."

Jim Barnes bought the business from Enzo a short time ago but Enzo still works at the shop where he has been a fixture for more than 30 years.

"Enzo is a family friend and said he was thinking of getting out of the business and didn't want all that went along with owning it so I bought it," Barnes said. "I was looking for an investment so it looked pretty good and he and two other barbers still work there."

Barnes said he hopes to have the business back open very soon.

Police said an older woman hit the front of the building but they are still investigating the full extent of what happened.

Police also said the driver was not hurt and there were no injuries.
