9 Hospitalized After 3-Vehicle Crash On Berlin Turnpike
Two people needed to be extricated from vehicles, according to fire officials.

BERLIN, CT — Nine people were hospitalized after a crash on the Berlin Turnpike on Tuesday afternoon in Berlin, according to fire officials.
Emergency crews responded to a three-vehicle accident with a rollover at the Berlin Turnpike and New Park Drive, according to the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department.
Two people were extricated and a total of nine people were taken to area hospitals, according to officials. The extent of their injuries wasn’t immediately known.

Part of Route 5 was temporarily closed due to the crash. Members of the Berlin, East Berlin and South Kensington fire departments responded to the scene.
Police are investigating the crash.
