BERLIN, CT - Developers are planning an $18 million mixed-use village on a four-acre lot across from Berlin's new train station, The Hartford Business Journal reported. The project is anticipated to include 76 apartments and 19,000 square feet of office and commercial space.

The project is an example of the newly popular transit-oriented development pushed by state and local officials in recent years. The developers said they intend for the development to attract a restaurant and bar, a coffee shop, and other amenities to cater to passengers on the line that extends from New Haven to Springfield.
