Man Arrested For Berlin Car Break-ins: Police

A man is facing charges that he broke into cars in Berlin.

BERLIN, CT — A man was arrested early Wednesday morning on charges that he broke into cars in Berlin. Police said they received a report that a person had smashed the window of a parked car on Worthington Ridge and rummaged through the car.

Following investigation, police arrested Brian McLain, 35, of 14 8th St. in Newington. He was charged in connection with two separate break-ins on Worthington Ridge and Oak Ridge Drive.

McLain was charged with two counts each of third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief, and sixth-degree larceny. He was also charged with second-degree failure to appear.
