Man Burglarizes Store, Steals Cash Register: Berlin Police

Police said the man stole a cash register and left the area on a bicycle.

BERLIN, CT — Police are asking for help with identifying a man accused of breaking into a business and stealing a cash register Tuesday morning in Berlin. The burglary happened at Tindahan City Food Store, 544 Deming Rd., around 7 a.m. on July 28.

Video surveillance cameras spotted the suspect, described by police as a white or Hispanic man with short cropped hair wearing a dark-colored bandana as a facemask. He had on a white T-shirt, dark pants, and slide-style black and white sandals.

The man was wearing a dark-colored backpack and was carrying a black camera bag and white cash register that were stolen from the business, according to police.

Police said the man left the area on a bicycle, riding east on Deming Road.
