Man Charged In Berlin Home Burglaries: Police

A man is facing charges in connection with home burglaries in Berlin.

BERLIN, CT — A man was arrested in connection with residential burglaries in Berlin in June 2020, according to police. Kelvin Santiago, 31, of 74 N. First St. in Meriden, was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of sixth-degree burglary, and criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny.

According to police, Detective Scott Schreiner’s investigation into two July 2020 residential burglaries resulted in fingerprint and video evidence, which led to the charges.

Santiago was arrested Thursday and charged in connection with two separate burglaries and an attempted larceny that occurred over the summer.

Santiago was held on a court set $40,000 bond and was presented at Superior Court in New Britain.
