Man Killed In Berlin Route 9 Wreck

A man was killed in a Berlin crash over the weekend.

BERLIN, CT — A man was killed in a single-car crash on Route 9 early Sunday morning, according to state police. Ahmed Durrant, 40, of 608 Allen St. Apt. A1 in New Britain, died in the wreck.

Durrant was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban on Route 9 northbound north of Exit 23 at 12:12 a.m. He lost control of the car, left the road, and struck the guard rail on both the left and right sides.

The car then overturned and came to rest in the left lane. Durrant was pronounced dead at the scene.
