The library has a loaded slate for October, with multiple programs designed to provide fun and informative opportunities for local residents of all ages and interests. Will you take advantage of all the town's library has to offer?

ADULT PROGRAMMING
Sit and Knit
Oct. 3, 6 p.m.

Do you know how to knit, but following a pattern is difficult for you? Are you a beginner who can barely cast on? Would you like to meet some new people and sit and knit? Join leader Gina Kahn for a relaxing knitting session. No registration necessary.

Investors Group
Oct. 8, 1:30 p.m.
 
Learn about stock market tools. No registration necessary.

How to Advocate for Your Child
Oct. 8, 6:30 p.m.
 
Are you unsure about how to get those extra services that your child needs? Hear from those in the field as they reveal the tips you need to know to advocate for your child. Contact the library to reserve a seat at (860) 828-7125.

Introduction to Home Ownership
Oct. 9, 6:30 p.m.

Spiritual Medium
Oct. 12, 1 p.m.
Elaine Kuzmeskus will reveal how spirits can communicate, methods of psychic investigation, stories of famous ghosts in Connecticut and will also tune into the spirit world with personal messages for selected audience members. Contact the library to reserve a seat at (860) 828-7125.

Sustainable Landscaping
Oct. 15, 6:30 pm. 
Sustainable Landscaping for ALL our Futures.  Learn about using native plants, fighting invasive species, planting waterway and stream buffers, the importance of pollinators, and lawn alternatives. Find out how these apply to Berlin’s streams and Mattabesset watershed. Presented by Master Gardener and Berlin Conservation Commission consultant Karen M. Pierson. Pajama Storytimes

Thursdays at 6:30p.m., Oct. 3 and Oct. 17.

Hooked on Llamas Animal Storytime
Oct. 19, 1:30 p.m.

Meet a real friendly llama,  hear a story about a llama, and learn about llamas as the Country Quilt Farm visits the library. Open to all ages. Registration begins Oct. 4.

Halloween Family Storytime
Oct. 24, 6:30 p.m.
Annual storytime program – all ages – costumes may be worn. Registration begins Oct. 7.
