New Britain Chief Of Staff To Return As TV News Reporter
The chief of staff for the New Britain mayor's office will return to her roots as a television reporter.
NEW BRITAIN, CT — Jodi Latina, current chief of staff for New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart, will return as a news reporter for WTNH News 8, The Hartford Courant reports. Her last day with the city will be Jan. 3.
Latina worked as a reporter for the station from 2000 to 2009 and has also worked for WFSB 3 TV, according to her LinkedIn profile. She has also served as press secretary for the state Senate Republican Office and as a traveling press secretary for Linda McMahon's U.S. Senate campaign.
She has been with Stewart's office since 2015.

Stewart told The New Britain Herald that Latina has been "a wonderful asset to my office."
Latina, who resides in Wethersfield, graduated from Newington High School in 1990 and from Eastern Connecticut State University in 1994, according to her LinkedIn profile. Latina also worked for News 12 CT as a reporter, CT News Junkie reported.

Earlier this year, the reverse situation occurred as long-time NBC Connecticut Chief Political Correspondent Max Reiss was hired to a top role in Gov. Ned Lamont's administration. Reiss was named director of communications.
