"Chef Jerry our brother and a great friend of the show passed today after a brutal battle with the coronavirus. He came on the air with us Friday March 27th from his hospital bed. Although he was struggling to breathe and in pain to talk he insisted on coming on to thank the nurses and tell us that they were heroic. That was Jerry literally to the end.

"Our hearts break for his family, especially his beautiful little girl who he loved more than anything. He was 57 years old and not weak by any stretch of the imagination. He proudly served in the United States Navy and even met Pope John Paul the Second. He was one of the most interesting guys to talk to. He LOVED food so we had a lot in common. When Young Chaz was in middle school he worked at Jerry and Adele’s Woodward House Restaurant in Bethlehem. Jerry took great pride in having the cleanest kitchen on the planet and loved making his way around to chat up every table.I hope we are all taking this virus very seriously. Please do your best to be safe. #ImVerySad"
