Retired Berlin Police K9 Dies

A police dog that served the Berlin Police Department for nearly a decade has passed away.

BERLIN, CT — Police announced that retired K9 Titan, who served Berlin from 2008 to 2017, has died.

Police posted on Facebook: "It is with very heavy hearts that we sadly announce the passing of retired police K9 Titan. Titan proudly served the Berlin Police Department and the citizens of Berlin from 2008-2017. He was loving and dedicated to his handler, Officer Aimee Krzykowski, and loved to spend time with all his family at Berlin Police Department.

"Aimee and Titan were former winners of the CT Police K9 Olympics. Despite his intimidating professional demeanor, he was more frequently seen with kids at many community events.
