Suspects Seen Trying To Enter Vehicles Overnight In Berlin: PD

The suspects drove around a police cruiser, over a curb, and fled the scene early Tuesday morning, according to police.

BERLIN, CT — Police are looking for several suspects who were seen trying to enter unlocked vehicles early Tuesday morning in Berlin. Police responded to Blue Ridge Road around 4:50 a.m. on the report of the occupants of a dark-colored SUV trying to enter unlocked vehicles in the area.

While responding to the area (Spicewood lane), police saw a person running toward a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Honda CRV. The person appeared to enter the driver’s side rear door, according to police.

“Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, that was occupied by three young looking individuals,” police wrote in a news release. “The operator of the vehicle accelerated around the police cruiser, over the curb, and fled toward the Brooke Meadow / Reservoir Road area. The vehicle was not located.”

Police released photos of the suspect vehicle and a suspect who was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt with a Puma logo on the back.
