Town Council Approves Timberlin Fee Schedule for 2013

Golf Course closing gap towards operating at level revenue. Also chosen to host Connecticut Open qualifier.

The Timberlin Golf Course will see slight increases in fees across the board but for Berlin residents, there is no better value in the area when it comes to greens fees and carts.

The PDF document attached has the complete breakdown of the rates but some of the highlights are as follows:

  • Resident Weekend 18 holes from $29.50 to $30, 9 holes from $18.25 to $18.50
  • Senior Resident Weekend from $18.50 to $19, 9 holes from $11.25 to $11.50
  • Non-Resident Weekend from $39.50 to $40, 9 holes from $24.25 to $24.50
  • Golf Carts 9 holes $9.75, 18 holes $17

When compared to area golf courses, Timberlin is on the low end of the price scale when it comes to residents and on the high end of non-resident rates.

At Stanley Golf Course in New Britain, for example, $1 more at $30.50 for Weekend resident. For Weekend Non-Resident, Timberlin is $39.50 while Stanley is $38.

The Council priased the work of Director of Golf Jon Zuk and Head Golf Professional Marc Bayram who were on hand to talk about the prices. They also outlined some of the successful specials the course has run such as:

  • The weekday golf and lunch special
  • The Birthday Club
  • The Outing Players Coupons
  • The Springtime Special
  • The Fall Special

The Council also approved the waving of fees for the Connecticut Open Qualifier on July 8.

The Connecticut Open, which has been won by Berlin native Kyle Gallo four times, is a Connecticut State Golf Association tournament. The other qualifying locations are private golf courses so for Timberlin to be chosen to host the qualifier is quite an honor.
