Two Ways To Get Rid Of Your Christmas Trees

You can leave them at roadside on trash collection day or bring them to Town Recycling Center.

Berlin residents are reminded of the options available to dispose of fresh cut Christmas trees. Trees will be collected curbside (on your collection day) the week of January 7, and must be at least six (6) feet away from your automated collection cart so as not to interfere with the disposal of your household refuse.

Trees will also be accepted for recycling at the Town Recycling Center on Massirio Drive during normal business hours Monday - Friday 7:15 to 3:15 a.m. and Saturday's, January 12 and 26, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Following the collection of all the trees, town forces will be chipping the trees creating mulch which will be available for public use and pick-up at Sage Park's main parking area.

For further information on the collection of trees and mulch pick-up, please call the Public Works office at (860) 828-7022.
