U.S. Rep John Larson Admonishes Congress for Shutdown

U.S. Rep. John Larson is generating some buzz this morning for the comments he made on the floor of the House of Representatives Tuesday morning in the wake of the government shutdown.

Larson, a Democrat whose district includes West Hartford yelled at his fellow Congressmen “stand up for America.”

Larson said that Congress needed to “do what’s fair for the American people, not Democrats, not Republicans, not Green Party, not the Tea Party, but the American people. The American people … deserve to have their government open.”
