Victim In Fatal Berlin Crash Identified

Police have released the name of the victim in a car vs. pedestrian crash and are searching for a driver involved in the wreck.

BERLIN, CT — Police have released the identity of a victim in a fatal accident and say they're searching for a suspect who fled the scene. The victim was Janine Wiktor, 58, whose last known address was 2030 Stanley Street in New Britain.

Investigators are continuing to work at locating and identifying the vehicle and driver involved in the fatal crash.

Police said the vehicle involved would likely have damage on the front end / bumper, hood, and possibly windshield.

The crash occurred Wednesday in the area of 319 New Britain Road at around 10:40 p.m.
