Winter Team State Championship History: Berlin High School
Redcoat teams have won a dozen state titles in winters past.
BERLIN, CT — As practices for Connecticut high school winter sports officially get underway Monday (girls basketball, ice hockey and wrestling) and Thursday (boys basketball, indoor track, boys swimming and girls gymnastics), hopes run high for all teams to achieve the ultimate goal: winning a league championship, and possibly a state title.
To help squads get into the championship mentality, here is a listing of all 12 winter team titles won by Berlin High School in past years (* - indicates a co-op team):
- wrestling (9) - Class L: 2003, 2001; Class M: 2000, 1999, 1996, 1992, 1991, 1989; Class S: 1986
- ice hockey (2) - Div. III: 2013*, 2012*
- boys basketball (1) - Div. III: 2006
