Canton Business Owners Running Pet Food Pantry

The owners of Dogology, a pet food retailer and dog training facility, also run the pantry - at no-cost to recipients.

The owners of Dogology are also running a no-cost pet food pantry, reports the Hartford Courant.

The pet-food retailer and dog training facility houses the pantry in the back of its store, and the pantry is always stocked with dog and cat food, treats, bedding, leashes, crates, and more.

The goal of the pantry is to provide pet owners who can’t afford supplies with quality food to keep their animals healthy.

The customers of the pantry are referred by social workers, animal control officers, and employees at human food pantries.

Dogology also partners with two dog rescues, Dog Star Rescue and Boot-n-Kit Canine Rescue, and offers its facility to these shelters as a space where families can meet rescue dogs who are available for adoption.
