Canton Police Warn Residents Following Bear Sighting

CANTON, CT — Police are warning residents to stay away from a bike trail following a sighting of a mother bear and her two cubs are in the area of Commerce Drive and Atwater Road. The cubs have taken refuge in a tree and mother is somewhat agitated, according to a Facebook post Wednesday.

"Officers are in the area, but we are asking trail users to AVOID COMMERCE DRIVE/ATWATER ROAD. Help us, help them!" Police wrote in the post.
