It took a few days, but I knew I wanted to be healthy (green) and what instrument rhymes with green? At the time I thought I would just teach music and yoga at my studio.

The location was great! Less expensive than Avon by a landslide.

Briefly, what business are you in?

Creative Arts Studio for kids. Yoga, Music, Art, Cooking and parities

What’s the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?

The office/business side.

Were there any challenges that made you second guess your decision to be an entrepreneur?

Sometimes you want a ‘REAL” day off. You never get one. You’re always thinking of your business.

What’s been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?

The smiles on the children. I teach every class and host every party and get to be a part of a child’s life in such a positive and powerful way.

What’s the most innovative idea your employees or customers have had that you put into practice?

Merging our favorite classes into one amazing class.

How do you deal with difficult customers?

I never really had any. Once I had one who was mean and abusive. I didn’t handle it the way I wanted to. I cried and apologized. I wish I hadn’t taken it so personally. I know that this person was completely irrational and I should have just said “I’m sorry that you are not able to come into our studio when we are closed” and left it like that. Yeah, he was upset because he couldn’t come in when we were closed. You can’t please everyone but I sure do try!!

How does your business give back or get involved in the community?

We do various charities though out the year. I donate near to 10 classes a year, sometimes more, to local schools to help with their fundraising.
