Canton Girls Headed to State Lacrosse Tournament

The Warriors are looking to pick up their second state lacrosse championship in the last three years.

CANTON, CT — After a one-year hiatus, the girls lacrosse team from Canton High School is looking to scale back to the top of the mountain as brackets have been established for the CIAC Class S tournament.

The Warriors, state champions in 2016, are seeded second, and will host No. 15 Somers in a first-round match Tuesday.

Darien is the top Class L seed in both the girls and boys divisions. New Fairfield (M) and St. Paul (S) are seeded first in the boys divisions, while Daniel Hand (M) and North Branford (S) hold the top spots for the girls.
