CANTON, CT - From the desk of the Connecticut House of Republicans: State Rep. Tim LeGeyt (R-Canton) congratulated the Canton High School Girls Basketball Team during their recent visit to the State Capitol on their title victory to become C.I.A.C. Class S State Champions.

Rep. LeGeyt arranged for the team to visit the Capitol, and meet Governor Malloy, who was pleased to receive the players and recognize their accomplishment. Rep. LeGeyt also introduced the team, including Coach Brian Medeiros, and senior co-captain Emily Briggs (two-time All-State player who, this year, was named state player of the year by the Connecticut High School Coaches Association) in the chamber of the House of Representatives. Fellow legislators, staff, guests, and all those assembled gave a warm welcome and congratulatory ovation to the team in honor of their victory.
