Canton Puppypalooza a Success

The 3rd annual fundraiser to benefit Boot N’ Kit Canine Rescue held this past weekend at the Canton Indoor Golf Center was a tremendous success, far surpassing the total donations received for the events held during the past two years combined.

The total value of donated goods and services, along with cash donations to the Puppypalooza from the community, is more than $10,000.

“We’re extremely excited about the results from our Puppypalooza this year,” said high school senior Josephine Black, age 17, and lead organizer for the fundraiser. “We are so grateful for all of the support and loyalty from our community for making this event such a fantastic success.”

The Puppypalooza featured a delicious free buffet along with cupcakes from the Cake Gypsy, drink specials, and Canton-based band “Driving Iris” performed throughout the party. There were also raffle prizes donated from nearly 60 local businesses based in the Farmington Valley. More than 100 people came out to enjoy the festivities on Saturday night.

Lead sponsors for the event this year included: Avon Country Deli, the Cake Gypsy, Canine Caviar, Canton Indoor Golf, Chic Furniture of Canton, Dogology, Progressive Animal Wellness (PAW), R and R Massage and Day Spa, and Vineyard Vines. Yelp was the official media sponsor of the event this year.

Pet food companies that donated to this year’s fundraiser included Avon-based Oma’s Pride, Bravo Pet Foods (from Manchester, CT), The Honest Kitchen, and Stella & Chewy’s.

The money raised during Puppypalooza will support Boot N’ Kit’s medical fund, to ensure that dogs in need of veterinary attention can receive the best possible care.
