Canton Store Among 11 Recent State Liquor License Suspensions

A total of 11 establishments had their liquor licenses suspended between November and January by the Connecticut Liquor Control Commission.

CANTON, CT — A Canton liquor store was among 11 Connecticut businesses which had their liquor licenses suspended between November 2017 and January 2018, according to public information from the Department of Consumer Protection's Liquor Control Commission.

Center Spirit Shoppe, located at 32 Bridge Street in Collinsville, had its license suspended from Jan. 8 through Jan. 10. The business also paid a $1,000 fine.

Suspensions ranging from one to three days and fines between $500 and $1,000 were meted out for various offenses, such as selling liquor to minors, consumption on premise, sanitation and failure to hang permits in plain view.
