Connecticut's Top Hospitals: Who Made The List?
U.S. News and World Report released its annual rankings on Tuesday.

What are the top hospitals in Connecticut?
U.S. News and World Report sifted through data for nearly 5,000 hospitals and results from surveys of more than 140,000 physicians to rank the best centers in 16 adult specialties from cancer to urology, according to the publication.

Death rates, patient safety, and hospital reputation were a few of factors considered. Only 137 hospitals were nationally ranked in a specialty.

Connecticut has nearly 50 hospitals. One is nationally ranked and seven others meet national high performing standards, according to the report.
