HARWINTON, CT — A Connecticut couple who were recently in Wuhan, China are being quarantined by the U.S. government due to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus, WTNH reported. Claude and Ilona Blouin, of Harwinton, were visiting their son, a math teacher who has lived for six years in the Chinese city that has been at the center of the outbreak.

The American government was warning American citizens to flee China. The Blouins spend a thousand dollars each for seats on a cargo plane to return.

They're now being held on a military base in Northern California, where they're expected to be quarantined for two weeks.
