Give Kids A Smile Day At Canton Valley Dental
Free dental care for children in need from the Farmington valley

Canton-On February 7th many children from local low-income families will receive free dental services ranging from cleanings, x-rays, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings and extractions as part of national Give Kids A Smile® day.
Canton Valley Dental has contacted the local Farmington Valley School Systems, local churches, food banks, Gifts of Love and Social Services to ask their assistance in offering this service to the families that truly need the help. Canton Valley Dental specifically looks to help children, who may not otherwise see a dentist to receive the dental care they need.
Through the ADA Foundation's Give Kids A Smile program, launched nationally by the American Dental Association in 2003, more than 5 million underserved children have received free oral health services. These free services are provided by approximately 10,000 dentists annually, along with 30,000 other dental team members.

Each year Give Kids A Smile day is celebrated nationally on the first Friday in February. GKAS events are intended to be touch points for children who do not receive dental care routinely. The ultimate goal for a GKAS program should be to establish a dental home for these children - in other words, provide continuity of care.
