Guiding Light Orphanage, The Zoo to Host Wine and Cheese Tasting Event

A Wine and Cheese tasting event at The Zoo Health Club this week is designed to introduce Guiding Light Orphanage to the Valley. 

Business owners and the general public are invited to   learn more about  GLO’s mission in serving children orphaned by HIV/AIDS and other vulnerable children in the Masindi District of Uganda via Health, Education and Self-Sustainability. 

Guiding Light Orphanage will be collecting tooth brushes and sanitary pads at the event in preparation for our upcoming Medical Camp in Uganda, according to a submitted release. 

Monetary donations will help the group purchase vitamin and nutritional supplements, vaccines and other medical supplies.  

The event will take place Friday, Sept. 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Zoo, 530 Bushy Hill Road, Simsbury. The event is free. No need to RSVP. 

The night will include Artwork, music and prizes.
