Pedestrian Dead After Canton Crash
A man was hit by a vehicle in Canton and later passed away.
CANTON, CT — A Canton pedestrian has died after being hit by a vehicle on Route 44 near Dunham Road Wednesday night.
Police responded around 5:14 p.m. to the crash and found a man seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle that was traveling westbound on Route 44. The pedestrian was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he later passed away.
Police have identified the victim as Robert Brothwell, 61, according to WTNH.

The operator wasn't injured and is cooperating with police while the investigation continues. Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Canton Police at 860-693-0221.
