“As a retired police sergeant and having served 28 years in Granby and Canton, the support of these law enforcement groups and the members they represent is especially appreciated. Thousands of men and women across Connecticut put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe and protected and I will always be grateful for their service. I am proud to have supported legislation that supports our first responders such as the PTSD bill in 2019 and I will continue to advocate for common sense law enforcement legislation that keeps both the public and our law enforcement officers safe and protected” said Senator Witkos.

“On behalf of the men and women of the Connecticut State Police Union, we are pleased to inform you that you are one of the few elected state officials to receive our official endorsement this year. This endorsement comes as a result of your continued support for public safety and the issues our union has faced in the past. Your commitment to public safety and Trooper safety is truly appreciated by the entire Union membership” said John Castiline, President, Connecticut State Police Union.

“Connecticut needs intelligent leadership to guide us into the future, and we feel that you are patently representative of that need" added Sgt. Derek Messier, President, Canton Police Union
“Our endorsement is based upon your long-standing support on the public safety issues that affect the citizens of Connecticut, and on your commitment to the fair working conditions of the men and women in blue who put their lives on the line each day to protect and serve our communities” said John J. Healey, President Waterbury Police Union, POACT Advisory Board.
