Tree Falls On Wires In Canton, Road Closed
A tree fell on some wire in Canton Wednesday.
CANTON, CT — Wednesday wether forced the closure of a main thoroughfare in Canton.
State Department of Transportation officials said Route 179 was closed Near High Valley Road because of a tree in some wires.
Detours were set up between West Road and High Valley Drive. Canton police were urging motorists to avoid the area if possible.

The tree came down at 4:14 p.m., according to the DOT.
