Winter Team State Championship History: Canton High School
The Warriors have earned four state titles in winters past.
CANTON, CT — As practices for Connecticut high school winter sports officially get underway Monday (girls basketball, ice hockey and wrestling) and Thursday (boys basketball, indoor track, boys swimming and girls gymnastics), hopes run high for all teams to achieve the ultimate goal: winning a league championship, and possibly a state title.
To help squads get into the championship mentality, here is a listing of the four winter team titles won by Canton High School in past years (* - indicates a co-op team):
- girls basketball (2) - Class S: 2017, 2016
- boys basketball (2) - Class S: 1978; Class C: 1928
