AAA Store In Old Saybrook Reopens For DMV Licensing Services

AAA has reopened eight locations in Connecticut to provide DMV licensing services with some new rules, officials announced.

OLD SAYBROOK, CT — The Old Saybrook AAA location has reopened as one of eight retail stores in Connecticut providing Department of Motor Vehicle licensing services, officials announced this week. Customers will need to “make appointments in advance in order to provide for social distancing,” officials said in a news release.

Previously, AAA services had been available on a first-come, first-served basis. Deadlines for all licenses that expired or are set to expire between March 10 and June 30 have automatically been extended 180 days amid the coronavirus pandemic. However, anyone who would like to get their license renewed now has the option to do so at AAA retail stores, officials said.

The AAA stores that have reopened include Avon, Cromwell, Enfield, Manchester, Old Saybrook, Southington, Waterford, and West Hartford.
