American Legion Post 66 and VFW Post 9918 Honor the Brave

Clinton's Veterans Groups and Auxiliaries Host Low Key Memorial Day Observances

CLINTON---Careful to be in compliance with public health guidelines, member of the American Legion 66, VFW Post 9918 and their respective Auxiliaries held a low key observance of Memorial Day in Clinton.

Small delegations started at the Veteran's Walk at Liberty Bank Square early Monday morning. Representatives then traveled to the Police and Fire Departments, Beaverbrook, St. Mary's Cemetery, Indian River and the monument at Clinton Town Hall.

Wreaths were placed in every circumstance. In addition, a 21 gun salute was offered, taps played and prayers lifted up. Similar Memorial Day ceremonies were conducted around the United States.
