Boat Fire Extinguished In Clinton

CLINTON, CT — Firefighters extinguished a heavily involved boat fire late Friday night in Clinton. The occupant of the 34-foot boat was able safely evacuate the fire, which was knocked down without incident, according to fire officials.
At about 10:45 p.m. on Nov. 16, the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department responded to 34 Riverside Drive Cedar Island Marina’s F Dock for the reported fire.
“9-0-1 was first on scene, reporting heavy fire,” the Clinton Volunteer wrote in a post on Facebook. “The occupant of the vessel was able to evacuate without injury and the fire was knocked without incident or extension.”
