Clinton Library to Host Summer Lunch Program for Students
Residents are working together to ensure kids don't go without lunch all summer.

The Henry Carter Hull Library will host a summer lunch program for Clinton students called Kid Cafe starting Friday.
A combined effort of the library, Families Helping Families and Clinton Social Services, the program will offer kids a resource for lunch every Friday of the summer. The program is meant to help students who receive free and reduced lunches during the school year and have no place to turn during the summer.
Every Friday there will be a meal offered at the library, according to a Facebook post, from 12 to 1 p.m. Students will then be given enough food to take home to provide lunches at home for 3 to 4 days.

The program is not federally or state funded, nor through local assistance. It is being run by concerned residents who want to ensure all kids are properly fed until school starts up again.
Kids and teens eat free and no ID or registration is required. Kid Cafe runs from June 17 to Aug. 26.
