Clinton Man Sentenced In Illegal Gun Case: Feds
Alexander Luong has been sentenced in an illegal gun possession case.
CLINTON, CT — A Clinton man has been sentenced to one year and one day in prison on illegal gun possession charges, according to a statement from U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut John Durham. Alexander Luong, 31, will also serve three years of supervised release.
According to prosecutors, in February 2020, police searched Luong’s home and found a stolen Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol, a loaded Glock .40 caliber pistol, and a large capacity magazine.
Luong was previously convicted in state court in 2012 of first-degree unlawful restraint.

Luong pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in Sept. 20.
Luong, who is released on bond, is required to report to prison on March 16.
