Clinton Schools On Two-Delay Wednesday, Jan. 22; Here Is The Schedule Of Opening Times

Clinton Public Schools are open Wednesday, but operating on a two-hour delay. 

Not only did we wake to mounds of snow here in Clinton, we can also expect bitterly cold weather. A parking ban remains in effect until about 4 p.m. Wednesday. 

The National Weather Service says that the snow is likely to continue with widespread blowing before 10 a.m. on Wednesday. It will be cloudy through mid-morning then snow likely with widespread blowing snow before 10am, then widespread blowing snow after 10 a.m., with a high near 16 degrees.

But wind chill values will be as low as -12 ... that's 12 below. 

The Country School is Madison also is on a 90-minute delay for Wednesday. In other closings, the Williams School in New London is closed, as is Xavier High School, according to WFSB.com. 

The Morgan School: Delayed Opening 9:35 AM 

Jared Eliot Middle School: Delayed Opening:  10 a.m.

Lewin G. Joel School: Delayed Opening Days 10:30 a.m.

Delayed Opening for Preschool:  AM - no classes, PM - 12:25 p.m.
