Clinton Summerfest, Fireworks 2018: Road Closures & More Details
Police are advising motorists of road closures and parking restrictions that will be in effect for the event. Read details here.

CLINTON, CT — The annual Clinton Summerfest and fireworks display will take place on Saturday, Aug. 25. The Summerfest kicks off at 4 p.m. with the fireworks scheduled to launch from the Town Beach at 9:05 p.m.
The Summerfest runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at two main locations, behind the Andrews Memorial Town Hall and the lawn of Pierson School. To sign up for Clinton breaking news alerts and more, click here.
Due to the large crowds that are expected to attend the festivities, Clinton Police are advising residents of the following road closures and parking restrictions that will be in effect:

* Town Beach is closed to all vehicles for the entire day.
(Bathers may use the town beach but they must walk in)

* Waterside Lane will be closed to all vehicular traffic at 3 p.m. until the conclusion of the event. (Waterside residents should be mindful of the closure time)
* There will be no vehicle entry to Waterside Lane through Osprey Commons.
*There will be a number of temporary parking restrictions posted throughout the Route One area.
*Expect high traffic volumes on Route One. Take alternate routes if possible.
“Clinton's Emergency Services and Town Agencies will be hard at work insuring a safe and enjoyable event for all,” police said in a post on Facebook.
