Clinton Woman Killed In Route 9 Crash

MIDDLETOWN, CT — A Clinton woman was killed in a crash on Route 9 in Middletown on Friday morning, according to WTNH News 8.

WTNH reports a vehicle driven by Roberta Vernon, 83, left the roadway for “unknown reasons” on Route 9 North and crashed into a rock wall. She sustained fatal injuries in the crash.

The crash, which occurred at about 7:45 a.m., temporarily closed both sides of Route 9, according to the Hartford Courant.
